Our morning sets the tone for the day. And our evening determines how we close out the day, and how relaxed we are for a refreshing sleep. Mornings and evenings are like bookends to our lives - they begin and close how we move through our days.
And, if you think about it, our mornings and nights are usually quite habitual. We wake up, perhaps have a coffee and breakfast, brush our teeth, have a shower... We move through the motions on autopilot. Therefore, designing healthy and productive morning and night habits is vital for a successful life.
I'm a firm believer of developing intentional morning and night routines.
Most successful people have morning and night routines that boosts their chances for a productive day, and recharging sleep. You should too!
Spend a little bit of time thinking through your goals, writing down what you should be doing first think in the morning and last thing in the evening, for you to live each day to its fullest. Below, I've outlined my ideal morning and night routines (work in progress!).
05.15 - 05.30am: Wake up, stretch and breathe for a moment, put on workout clothes
05.30 - 06.00am: Do workout (circuit/run) inside/outside
06.00 - 06.15am: Take dog for a quick walk
06.15 - 06.30am: Shower and prepare breakfast (green juice, coffee, healthy carbs)
06.30 - 07.15am: Eat breakfast, while planning out the day in my diary
07.15 - 08.00am: Get dressed and ready for an awesome day
08.45 - 09.00pm: Clean up and get dressed in comfortable clothes
09.00 - 09.30pm: Switch off technology, write in gratitude journal, note down any buzzing ideas or worries
09.30 - 10.00pm: Read a book to switch the mind off
10.00 - 10.15pm: Relax into a refreshing night's sleep
