Inspire Me: Shirin's Lifestyle Blog Journey

We find inspiration and motivation in others - so we truly appreciate when you share your goals and dreams with us. Therefore, we wanted to share Shirin's journey towards creating and running her blog La Villa Blanche, in hope that her story inspires you to reach high too.

In 2016, I launched La Villa Blanche (The White Villa) - my very own blog focusing on home decor, interior styling and lifestyle. La Villa Blanche (LVB) dreams of creating a unique niche amongst today's interior designers and home decorators in the field of interior styling and home decor. I am hoping to introduce my love for all things that are classic French and Shabby chic blended with simplicity and elegance which is a challenge in itself!

I have always been very creative since my early years, immersed in sketching, painting and photography. Over the years, I have developed a passion for interior styling and home decorating and have combined this with my creative knowledge in my own blog - La Villa Blanche. My biggest goal this year is to continue working hard and produce quality blog articles for my readers - giving my audience an insight into my world of style and my love for shabby chic, country french and vintage decor.  I also want to continue learning from my mentors and inspire other home decorators just like me, to dream big!

To achieve my goals, I read a lot and follow latest design trends. I've also started designing my study and slowly but surely working on creating a space where I can work daily and channel all my ideas to create more beautiful blogs that my readers will enjoy. To help with, I have a "to do list " which I keep and I try to cross out whatever I have completed or achieved for that week or month. It does help to plan ahead for someone like me, who is a working professional and a busy mum and helping me on my creative journey are my planning tools.

The current one I use a lot is my Mood Board along with a Journal where I pen down all my thoughts, whenever I have an idea in my head and also note down a few quotes along the way (I love inspirational quotes). I use my wall calendar to mark all important events and have an advance planning way of organising my blog drafts and posts. I love to carry my journal around and I love writing my thoughts the conventional way - pen to paper. I am a stationery buff too, so I love to add a few post its and page markers in my journal and on my wall calendar.

From the Up & Atem lineup, I'd love to use the 2017 CEO of my own Life Planner (Ella Iconic) in Blush & Champagne along with the pink Miss Poppy Design pencils (they are just cute!). The 2017 CEO of my own Life Planner is just awesome. It has a separate sections on My Future and Master Goals that are something different to a normal journal that I have seen. And some of the sections contain amazing details that are inspiring as well - especially the Financials section. I love the pencils too, the inspirational words on them are exactly what brings me joy!

Make sure to pay Shirin a visit at La Villa Blanche. If you want to share your goals and dreams, and how you plan to achieve them, send us a note at [email protected].
